The guest house has been run by the same young couple for over 7 years. The atmosphere is very friendly and families are especially welcome.2 minutes walk from Llandudno town, the pier and promonade. Central for restaurants, shops and all tourist attractions. We have 5 En-suite and 2 standard bedrooms. All rooms have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities and colour televisions. All rooms are non smoking. A ground floor room is available. Vegetarians and families are very welcome. High chairs and cots available. Cheques, cash and credit cards welcome. Please note we do not take 1 night bookings or any less than 3 nights on any bank holiday.
The Lansdowne is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast sheltering beneath the slopes of the Great Orme, and situated in its own grounds. Our large car park is adjacent to the hotel and is hidden from the road by our high walls and mature trees. We are fortunate to be within a short walking distance to the dining area of Llandudno with its many pavement café’s and restaurants, offering a variety of traditional and foreign fare. We are just a few minutes from most attractions, i.e. beach, shops and the Great Orme, with its many delights, Haulfre Gardens, Happy Valley, Ski Slope, Cable Car and the cable-hauled tram taking you gently to the Great Orme Summit. Abercelyn Country House is an 18th century, Grade II-listed, former rectory set in award-winning, landscaped, mature gardens overlooking Bala Lake in the Snowdonia National Park. The bright, spacious bedrooms are furnished with individual period pieces and all have en-suite luxury bathrooms (all have power-showers, one has a whirlpool bath). There is a relaxing drawing room with library and log fire for guest’s use. Excellent home-cooking (inc. special diets) with local produce and choice of breakfast, with freshly baked bread, free range eggs and home-made preserves. Situated in a peaceful location, just a short stroll from the lake and close to the market town of Bala, which provides a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops. The local hills provide un-crowded walking in three mountain ranges and there are outstanding water-sports facilities, with sailing on Bala Lake and the National Whitewater Centre, nearby. There is a challenging golf course with lake views. Guided walking and canoeing is available (by arrangement) and also a library of walking guidebooks. Other outdoor activities can be arranged, including whitewater rafting, sailing, climbing, mountain biking, 4x4 driving, etc. Private parking, locked storage for bicycles and drying room are provided. An ideal location for touring North Wales and Snowdonia.
AA 4 **** Highly Commended Afon View is an elegant Victorian house situated in the village of Betws-y-Coed, in the Snowdonia National Park. Close to the restaurants, shops and the train station. There are 7 en-suite bedrooms. Doubles, family/twin and a single room. For those looking for something a little special, we have a four poster and luxury king-size rooms. There is a comfortable lounge with a real coal fire and all the guest rooms are furnished to a high standard with colour flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi access, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, radio alarms and hair dryers.
